Worldwide Estonian Language Week

Üleilmne eesti keele nädal tuleb taas!
21.-27. septembrini räägime, arutame, mängime eesti keeles ja eesti keelt kõikjal maailmas. Seekord keskendume maitsetele, toidukultuurile, (eesti) köögile.

The Estonian Institute invites you to join in the Second Annual Worldwide Estonian Language Learning Week! Come learn or teach the beautiful Estonian language with us during this week of virtual and in person activities!
The theme of this year´s language week will be to speak, learn, teach, play and even dine out in Estonian! We will focus on vocabulary about tastes, the culture surrounding food, and traditional Estonian cuisine.
KeelEST will be held from September 21 to 27, focusing on tastes, food culture and (Estonian) cuisine.
The activities of the language week include the following initiatives:
1) virtual language cafe language roulette https://www.integratsioon.ee/virtuaalsete-luhivestluste-sari-keelerulett-0
2) virtual language cooking school in cooperation with a food blogger“ in KeelEST social media channels you will find one video every day in plain Estonian, with recipes in Estonian, Russian and English;
Short videos of the preparation of national dishes of the participating teams at the Bocuse d´Or 2020 in Tallinn.
3) cafe conversations in Estonian, where language learners can practice cafe and food-related expressions with volunteers; Cafes Komeet, Maiasmokk, Werner, Gustav and Reval Cafe will open their doors. Discounts for registered Estonian Language Week participants.
4) Language gourmet on the 23rd of September in cooperation with restaurant Gloria: Doris Kareva´s poetry, violin music from the Magic Strings and a symbiosis of tastes.
5) we are inviting everyone to globally organize and record food-related language lessons, (joint) cooking, morning-lunch-dinners, during which words, expressions are learned, and conversation topics are developed. Blogs, language maps, and all digital environments can help.
Let´s make food or prepare some (Estonian) dish according to an Estonian recipe. Describe yourself or ask the participants to describe in Estonian the ingredients of the recipe, the taste of the food, its preparation or even the company you are participating with.
Capture a small video clip of the event or save it as a picture (please add a description in Estonian), find our event on Facebook and make it public with the topic reference #keelest2020.
5) Go to www.keelest.ee and mark your participation in the language week on the world map

Eesti Instituut annab teada, et keelenädala tegevuste hulgas on täna teada järgmised ettevõtmised:
1) virtuaalne keelekohvik – keelerulett https://www.integratsioon.ee/keelerulett
2) virtuaalne keele-kokakool koostöös toidublogijaga – avaldame iga päev ühe video lihtsas eesti keeles, lisame retseptid eesti, vene ja inglise keeles.
3) päris kohvikud üle Eesti, kus tegutsevad koostöös välismaalased/mitte-eestlased ja eestlastest vabatahtlikud,
4) kutsume kõiki korraldama-jäädvustama üle ilma toiduteemalisi keeletunde, (ühis)kokkamist, hommiku-lõuna-õhtusööke, mille käigus õpitakse sõnu, väljendeid, vestlusteemasid. Abiks on keelemenüüd (saadame Eesti Instituudi poolt meiliga), blogid, keelekaardid ning kõik digikeskkonnad
Tehkem toitu või valmistagem mõni (eesti) roog eestikeelse retsepti järgi. Saadame järgmistel nädalatel ka lisalinke, kust võib retsepte leida. Kirjeldage ise või paluge osalistel kirjeldada eesti keeles retsepti koostisosi, toidu maitset, selle valmistamist või kasvõi seltskonda, kellega koos ühiselt toimetate.
Jäädvustage palun sellest ettevõtmisest väike videoklipp või talletage pildina (lisage palun kirjeldus eesti keeles) ning tehke see avalikuks #keelest2020
5) üleskutse: Minge palun www.keelest.ee lehele ning märkige maailmakaardile keelenädalal osalemine
Eesti Instituudi välisõpe koordineerija lisab keelenädala ajakavva Eestis ja kõikjal välismaal teie temaatilised tunnid, virtuaalsed kohvikud, temaatilised ühistegevused. On need siis väiksed vastuvõtud eesti toiduga eesti keelt mitteoskavatele sõpradele, vabatahtlike poolt läbiviidavad juhendatud maitseelamuste ettevalmistused, maitsete teema ühendamine mõne muu kauni kunsti valdkonnaga või midagi muud, mida teie endi nutikus programmi pakub.
