2022 is a council election year! The last general elections for EANC’s XXII Council took place in 2018. Members are elected for four years and serve without pay. The Council size can vary from 20 to 50 members, depending on the number of candidates. The Council meets at least once a year, usually in the Fall, to review past activities and to vote on the upcoming year’s budget and activity plan.
EANC´s 70th anniversary year 2022 is underway, making it an exciting time way for Estonians around the United States to get involved in the Esto-American community or to support the activities and EANC mission from afar. Recruitment for candidates to the XXIII Council was a success, resulting in a diverse and impressive group of candidates. Now it is your turn to participate by voting! Eligible voters have the option of voting by traditional ballot or through our new e-voting system, see www.estosite.org/elections for instructions and details.
Candidates must live in the United States and be at least 21 years old on the day of the election, and either possess Estonian citizenship or be eligible for it, belong to the Estonian community through family relationship, or certify on the election ballot to being Estonian.
