The last general elections for EANC’s XXII Council took place in 2018. Members are elected for four years and serve without pay. The Council size can vary from 20 to 50 members, depending on the number of candidates. The Council meets at least once a year, usually in the Fall, to review past activities and to vote on the upcoming year’s budget and activity plan.
As EANC´s 70th anniversary year gets underway in 2022, so does recruitment for Council elections, scheduled for this summer! Be sure to sign up for the EANC´s Teataja newsletter to also receive voting ballots and pertinent information. Eligible voters who preregister will also have the option to participate via e-voting ( www.estosite.org/elections )
Candidates must live in the United States and be at least 21 years old on the day of the election, and either possess Estonian citizenship or be eligible for it, belong to the Estonian community through family relationship, or certify on the election ballot to being Estonian.
