Historic meeting of Global Estonians!

Wednesday, September 18, 2019 marks the first session of the Estonian government-formed Committee for Global Estonian Cooperation, bringing together the Estonian government and representatives of global Estonians from eleven countries. The committee is headed by Estonian Population Minister Riina Solman, and includes numerous cabinet officials that have direct dealings with the interests of Estonians living abroad.

EANC is among the large umbrella organizations of Estonians around the world that have been asked to send representatives to the committee. Participating at the meeting representing EANC were Marju Rink-Abel and Sirje Kiin. EANC Member Aavo Reinfeldt was also present in his role as Estonian World Council president.
