May 22, 2021The Estonian American National Council is among the 18 national member organizations of CEEC, representing Americans of central and east European descent, to sign onto a letter expressing concern and criticism to the Biden White House on May 21, 2021. The letter cites bipartisan criticism of the waiving of sanctions imposed on entities working on the NORD Stream 2 pipeline, the construction of which is widely seen as a dangerous development for the region, and warns that these waivers can be of detriment to relations with EU members or European allies and partners.
