EV106! Estonian Independence Day Celebration in Connecticut

The Connecticut Estonian Society invites fellow Estonians, friends, and supporters to join them in celebration of the anniversary of Estonian Independence (Feb. 24, 1918).

We´ll greet you all with a light reception, followed by an Independence Day program. We welcome guest speaker Margus Särglepp, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Estonian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

The short program will feature Dr. Hando Nahkur, one of the leading Estonian pianists of his generation. Internationally acclaimed with numerous awards and performances in more than eighteen countries worldwide, Hando Nahkur spent some of his years of studies at Yale in CT, and we welcome him home.

For dancing and entertainment we welcome back DJ Kristjan Karu. See you on the dance floor!

The event will again be held at the Baltic Restaurant, 237 New Britain Road, Berlin, CT. 06037. This venue replicates an actual Baltic Manor and features superb Baltic Sea regional cuisine.

The full Baltic buffet features roast pork loin, sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, chicken, kielbasa, and more. For dessert, we have homemade Kringel.

Tickets: Adults, $65, young people, $55, children 12-3 -$30, and little kids, free.

Kohtume taas Baltic Restaurant saalis New Britaini linnas.

Meil on suur au tervitada aktuse peakõnelejat Eesti Saatkonna asejuht Margus Särglepp. Kava jätkab muusikalise programmiga, esinejaks on pianist Hando Nahkur. Hando on maailma tipppianistide seas ning on kontserteerinud 18 riigis üle ilma.
