Estonia’s XXVIII Song and XXI Dance Celebration “Iseoma” (“Kinship”)

Me räägime ise oma keelt.
Me laulame ise oma häälega omi laule.
Me pühitseme iseoma laulupidu.
Et kasvada oma rahvaga.
Et armastada iseoma Eestit.

Meie kandi inimesed –
sõtsed, kõugud, sugulased
otsustasid kokku saada,
kokku tuua mugulased.

Meie juures tuleb tänavu suur pidu, millest ei tohi ilmaski ilma jääda. Armastust ja musta leiba peab jaguma igaühele, kes meie trallamil tallab. Nii et pakkige pambud ja pasunad, kammid ja kostid, lootused ja luhtaminekud ning karake kõige täiega Keskpõrandale kokku.

Tantsupidu räägib sel korral meie iseoma lugu, räägib inimeseks olemisest, räägib eestlastest ja sellest, mis on meile oma ja oluline. Jah, meid on küll vähe, meie maa on väike, aga teisalt oleme kõik erinevad, nii nagu on erinevad ka meie tavad, kombed, tantsud, laulud, pillilood ja murdekeel. Ja erinevad on ka kirevad isiksused meie kõigi suguvõsades. Me peame kokku hoidma. Igaüht oma iseärasustes hindama ja austama, kõigist hoolima, neid armastama, ning, kui vaja – neile andestama. Vaid nõnda püsime elus, püsime oma vaba riigina ja ainult nõnda saavad elada meie kultuur, tavad ja kombed.

The XXVIII Song and XXI Dance Celebration “Iseoma” (“Kinship”)

The treasured festival will take place from July 3rd to 6th, 2025. This acclaimed national event features over 40,000 choir singers, orchestral musicians, folk dancers, and folk musicians. Estonian-American choirs and dance groups are among them! More than 100,000 spectators gather to witness three dance performances, one folk music concert, and two concerts of the song festival.

EANC is proud, along with our partners Estonian Relief Committee and Estonian Students Fund, to be a supporter of the numerous Estonian-American choirs and dance groups taking part in this treasured tradition!

Grand procession of all participants from Vabaduse Square to Tallinn Song Celebration Grounds at 13:00 (approx.end at 19:00)

XXVIII Song Celebration’s opening concert at Tallinn Song Celebration Grounds at 19:30 (approx. end at 23:00)

July 6, 2025

XXVIII Song Celebration’s main concert at Tallinn Song Celebration Grounds at 14:00 (approx. end at 21:00)
