Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosts virtual forum for Estonians worldwide

The Foreign Ministry’s fifth virtual forum for Estonians worldwide is held tomorrow 4 May at 16.00 Estonian time. This time the forum explores preserving the Estonian language in a multilingual environment. Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna will make an opening statement. Music is provided by Valter Soosalu, and writer Valdur Mikita shares is ideas. One viewer selected at random will win a prize, a return ticket to Estonia.

There will be simultaneous interpretation into English and Russian and viewers can submit questions to the panellists.

Helja Kirber – teacher of Estonian language and literature, head of the Üleilmakool, member of the board of the Estonian Language Education Association
Riina Kindlam – Canadian-born Estonian who has been living in Estonia for 20 years, journalist, translator and guide
Valdur Mikita – writer

The virtual forum is moderated by Sirle Sööt, who founded and heads the Stockholm Estonian Hobby School.
