Commemoration of the Mass FLight of 1944 (Washington, DC)

You are invite dto join the Washington (DC) Estonain SOciety on September 21st from 3pm to 6pm for an event commemorating the Mass Flight of 1944 in the large hall of the Latvian Church – 400 Hurley Ave, Rockville, MD. Nearly 50 people have already registeredö please let us know what you will be bringing for the refreshemnts table: sweet or savory.

We plan to share personal stories of the events of 1944, show recently completed short films – more information at https://balticstories.ca/. The Baltimore Washington Estonian Mixed Choir and folkdance group Pillerkaar will perform, and we will enjoy each other’s company with the snacks and drinks brought along.

1944.a. Suurpõgenemise mälestamine

21. septembril kell 3pm-6pm koguneme 1944. aasta suurpõgenemise mälestamiseks Läti kiriku suures saalis – 400 Hurley Ave, Rockille MD. Juba peaaegu 50 inimest on registreerunud ja andnud teada milliseid suupisteid ja magusat on plaanis tuua.

Meil on plaanis jagada isiklikke lugusid 1944. aasta sündmustest, näidata hiljuti valminud lühifilme – lisainfo https://balticstories.ca/ ja manuses. Esinevad Baltimore Washingtoni Eesti Segakoor ja Pillerkaar ning naudime teineteise seltskonda kaasatoodud suupistetega ja jookidega.
