Dear Fellow Estonian American,

For seventy years the Estonian American National Council has been the national organization representing the interests of Estonian Americans. In that time, thanks to your generous support, and the work of our nationally elected council, we have been able to carry out our dual mission of being a unified voice on issues affecting Estonian Americans while also providing financial support to organizations and programs that help maintain community, language, and culture.

We are proud of our volunteer, nationally-elected council, which is diverse in age, geography, and perspective, and we hope you share in the excitement that accompanies the XXIII Council.

The year 2022 marked the first time, the Estonian American National Council (EANC) conducted voting for its national election also by electronic means. As always, the traditional paper ballots were also available for those who preferred the traditional voting process. We hope that by facilitating electronic voting, the process became more straightforward, encouraged greater participation, and resulted in cost savings. Ultimately our goal is to financially contribute as much of our allocated annual budget as possible to programs benefiting the Estonian American community.

Please be sure to register for EANC´s newsletter Teataja and for our e-news blasts for infrequent electronic new blasts about topics, events, advocacy, and opportunities.

At this point, we simply ask for an indication of whether you would prefer to vote electronically instead of using the traditional paper ballot. You can choose to change this selection at any time before the election simply by notifying the EANC via email.

To register for an electronic ballot, please fill out the simple request form below. Should you have any questions regarding this option, please feel free to contact our executive director, Leelo Linask, [email protected].

We thank you for your participation and continued support of the EANC and the Estonian American community.

Please fill out this request only for yourself and your immediate family members. Voters must be at least 18 years of age on the closing date of voting (TBA). Voters must be Estonian by descent or an immediate family member of such an individual, or a resident member of the Estonian American community through family relations, or an otherwise recognized member of the Estonian American community. Voters must legally reside in the U.S. and be in agreement with the organization’s general principles.

The information that you provide is strictly confidential and will never be shared without your consent.  Additionally, as always, voter anonymity is strictly enforced throughout the electoral process.  You will receive a confirmation email notifying you of your successful registration.

If you know of others who may be eligible voters but are not sure if they have received this information, please indicate this separately below or share this information with them, and we will reach out to them.

Together, we are stronger. Register for an e-ballot to make your voice heard.
