DESCRIPTION:The Joint Baltic American National Committee (JBANC) hosts the 9th annual Baltic Advocacy Days in Washington\, D.C.\, from March 16 – 18\, 2026. During Advocacy Days\, Baltic Americans and friends of the Baltics meet with their congressional offices to support strengthening the U.S.–Baltic security relationship and curbing Russian aggression. Advocacy Days is not only an opportunity to inform congressional offices about the importance of Baltic security issues\, but also a celebration of the Baltic diaspora and the policy stakeholders in Washington who work to build a strong U.S.–Baltic relationship. \n\n\n\nNo advocacy experience is required to take part in Advocacy Days. Before meetings\, participants will have the opportunity to join panel discussions and briefings on the most pertinent security issues in the Baltic region. Make Your Voice Count\n\n\n\nThe most proven way to create political change is to meet with Congressional offices in Washington. JBANC provides the information and organizes the meetings. The only thing we require is your participation! \n\n\n\n\nMeet one-on-one with your congressional representatives to highlight the strategic importance of Baltic security and advocate for a strong U.S.–Baltic partnership in countering Russian aggression.\n\n\n\nConnect with Latvians\, Estonians\, and Lithuanians who share a commitment to Baltic security and strengthening transatlantic ties through coordinated advocacy.\n\n\n\nCelebrate the Baltic diaspora alongside policymakers and stakeholders in Washington who are actively engaged in building and sustaining a resilient U.S.–Baltic relationship.\n\n\n\n\nNo experience? No Problem\n\n\n\nNo prior advocacy experience is required to take part in Advocacy Days.  JBANC provides guidance and support throughout the entire process. \n\n\n\n\nPre-Meeting Policy Education: Expert-led sessions prepare participants with context on the most critical Baltic security topics.\n\n\n\nDetailed Briefing Materials: Participants receive concise briefing papers to ensure they are well prepared and aligned on key messages.\n\n\n\nIn- Meeting Expert Support: Each meeting is supported by a subject-matter expert who helps guide the discussion and reinforce key policy priorities.\n\n\n\n\nAdvocacy Days Agenda\n\n\n\nDay 1 focuses on learning and networking\, while Days 2 and 3 center on direct engagement with congressional leaders. \n\n\n\n\nDay 1 – Learning and Networking: Panel discussions\, training sessions\, and networking opportunities with Washington\, D.C.–based stakeholders and fellow advocates\, designed to prepare participants for effective congressional engagement.\n\n\n\nDays 2 & 3 – Direct Advocacy: Structured meetings with congressional offices and advocacy-focused receptions centered on Baltic security.\n\n\n\n\nPlease note\, training and reception locations are typically confirmed approximately two weeks before Advocacy Days\, and meetings with congressional offices are finalized one week prior.
