SUMMARY:Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir @ Carnegie Hall: ARVO PÄRT 90
DESCRIPTION:In 2025\, the whole classical music world and the Republic of Estonia will celebrate the 90th birthday of Estonian most famous composer Arvo Pärt. On this occasion\, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir\, who is renowned interpret of Pärt’s music has been invited to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York. EPCC will give concerts on October 23 and 24\, alongside Tõnu Kaljuste\, Paavo Järvi\, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra\, and the Estonian Festival Orchestra. Both concert programs will\, of course\, be dedicated exclusively to the works of Arvo Pärt. \n\n\n\nEANC is proud to partner with EPCC for this amazing event! \n\n\n\nOctober 23\, 2025\, Stern Auditorium.Estonian Festival Orchestra\, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber ChoirConductor Paavo JärviProgram: Arvo Pärt “Credo\,” “Adam’s Lament” etc \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet tickets here \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBringing the best Estonian talent together with leading musicians from around the world\, the Estonian Festival Orchestra assembles for its highly anticipated North American debut during the global celebration of Arvo Pärt at 90. Led by Artistic Director Paavo Järvi\, they’re joined by the Grammy Award–winning Pärt specialists of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and soloists who include Midori\, Hans Christian Aavik\, and composer-pianist Nico Muhly. The wide-ranging program features significant early works\, including a piece with a historic connection to Carnegie Hall; major works from Pärt’s game-changing tintinnabuli style; powerful 21st-century selections; and more. Together\, it’s a stunning survey of Pärt’s singular musical world\, performed by many of the artists who know it best. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOctober 24\, 2025\, Zankel HallEstonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir\,Tallinn Chamber OrchestraConductor Tõnu KaljusteProgram: Arvo Pärt \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet tickets \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArvo Pärt’s music is the rarest of wonders\, a most remarkable contradiction\, an artistic experience that is mystical\, singular\, incomparable … and yet universal. It “fulfills a deep human need that has nothing to do with fashion\,” composer Steve Reich once told The Guardian. In Zankel Hall\, hear a full program of Pärt’s works\, including the magnificent Te Deum\, performed in singular style by several of the world’s leading authorities on the composer’s music. The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra make their long-awaited return to New York for this performance—a centerpiece of the worldwide Pärt at 90 celebration—led once again by the esteemed Tõnu Kaljuste.
