SUMMARY:The Atlantic Council presents: "The NATO perspective: Strengthening resilience across the Alliance"
DESCRIPTION:The Atlantic Council’s Transatlantic Security Initiative and the Adrienne Arsht National Security Resilience Initiative will host a conversation on how NATO allies can continue to cultivate a resilient community. This is a hybrid event\, you may attend in person or join virtually. \n\n\n\nAmbassador of the Republic of Estonia to the United States\, Kristjan Prikk\, will be speaking. \n\n\n\nEarlier this year\, NATO—the most resilient and successful military alliance in history—celebrated its seventy-fifth anniversary. Even after seventy-five years\, NATO’s work continues to be of the utmost importance to the peace and security of the transatlantic community and a cornerstone of resilience for Europe. The notion of national resilience and the capacity to withstand a major shock is a fundamental national and collective responsibility of all NATO allies\, as outlined in NATO’s Article 3. With geopolitical tensions on the rise\, exposed and inflamed by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine\, this event will aim to examine the main challenges being posed to national and collective resilience across the alliance. The discussion will touch upon what can be learned from allies on the Eastern flank and consider how NATO can transform concepts into actionable measures. It will emphasize the dynamic relationship between NATO\, individual governments\, and civil society in fostering a resilient community.   \n\n\n\nThis conversation will take place at Atlantic Council headquarters and will be broadcast on YouTube\, X\, Facebook\, and LinkedIn. To join us in-person or virtually\, please complete the registration form.  \n\n\n\n\nRegister here\n\n\n\n\nWelcoming RemarksAdrienne ArshtExecutive Vice Chair\, Board of Directors\, Atlantic CouncilFEATURED SPEAKERSAmbassador Michael CarpenterSpecial Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Europe\,National Security Council\, The White HouseH.E.
