DESCRIPTION:Estonian guides and scouts of all ages gather for their annual summer camp: a week of educational and cultural activities set in the beautiful cedar and pine forest and along familiar forest paths of magical white sand. Lakewoodi valge liiv! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWe are excited to announce that registration is officially open for Järvemetsa laager 2025. The name of this year’s suvelaager is: Metsapiduand it will take place August 9th – August 17th.We’ve got some other very exciting news… \n\n\n\nEGM & ESM have invested in a brand new platform to help make registration smoother\, more secure\, and easily accessible year over year [your info will be securely saved so you don’t have to go searching for those vaccination records every year!]. We know there will be questions and bumps in the road with this new process\, but we hope you are as excited about the change as we are! We also look forward to hearing your feedback. \n\n\n\nAttached is a HOW TO document to walk you through how to complete your registration as well as an FAQ document to answer any initial questions you may have. An early bird discounted rate is available through June 22nd. Register NOW to take advantage of the significant discount & be sure to attend one of our Talgud // camp cleanup weekends to avoid to $100 fee at registration. Talgud  is scheduled for June 14th & July 19th.For any juhid [counselors] or kitchen staff: \n\n\n\nPlease reach out to us directly to learn how to apply the proper discount code to ensure your special rate is applied at checkout. As always\, you qualify for a discounted camp registration fee\, but this will not be applied automatically. Please note: anyone who qualifies for a discounted rate must register through their own separate account i.e. cannot be part of a family registration with multiple members. \n\n\n\nCALLING ALL LIFEGUARDS [or those interested…] \n\n\n\nLaagri juhid are searching for volunteers 18+ to serve as lifeguards during laager. A valid certification is required\, but if you are not currently certified – we are willing to pay! The joys and respite of Olev Järv will not be available to anyone if we cannot secure a minimum of 2 lifeguards for the week. Please reach out asap if you are interested. \n\n\n\nFor anyone 18+…Additional updates and changes for this year include a required Youth Protection Training for anyone 18 and over and background checks [run through the new platform] for all adults.
