SUMMARY:Boston Baltic Film Festival 2023
DESCRIPTION:The fifth annual Baltic Film Festival in Boston will present three days of in-person screenings of the latest award-winning films from Estonia\, Latvia\, and Lithuania\, followed by some virtual screenings** from March 6 – 19. The Estonian films Apteeker Melchior (Melchior I)\, Apteeker Melchior. Viirastus (Melchior II) and Kalev can only be viewed in theaters. Apteeker Melchior is Estonia’s most watched domestic film of 2022. Apteeker Melchior. Viirastus is making its USA debut in Boston at the ArtsEmerson Paramount Theater. Both films are scheduled for the evening of March 4 with a Medieval Party between the showings. Kalev\, the Estonian Oscar contender will be shown exclusively on March 5. \n\n\n\nFestival\, screening and all event tickets go on sale February 6th!  \n\n\n\n“Meet the Baltic Filmmakers” Discussion Panel\, March 3rd\, 17:00 – 18:00pm \n\n\n\nOpening reception: Friday\, March 3rd\,  21:00 – 23:00 pm  \n\n\n\n\nOpening Reception tickets available here\n\n\n\n\nVirtual Screenings** from March 6 – 19.  \n\n\n\nThese world-class feature films and documentaries for all generations offer a unique opportunity to get to know the Baltic soul – creative\, reflective\, and rebellious. \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\nFilms to be shown include the Melchior the Apothecary: The Ghost\, based on the popular Melchior the Apothecary book series.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n** Please note: Virtual screenings are available to viewers in the US\, unless marked “In Massachusetts Only”
