  • EANC has named Karin Shuey as its Washington DC Director, a newly-established position. Karin Shuey/ ERKÜ on nimetanud Karin Shuey hiljuti asutatud positsioonile, Washingtoni büroo juhatajaks.  See "EANC Activities" for details. 
  • Eesti Välisministeerium tunnustas Kodanikupäeva puhul aukirjaga rahvadiplomaate, kes on andnud suure panuse Eesti tutvustamisel maailmas. Mirjam Krull sai tunnustuse kultuurisidemete hoidmise ja Washingtoni Eesti Seltsi juhtimise eest. Mirjam on ERKÜ juhatuses. Palju õnne, Mirjam! Washingtoni Eesti Kooli tunnustati eestluse hoidmise ja edendamise eest USAs.  / Mirjam KrullThe Estonian Foreign Ministry has recognized EANC Board member Mirjam Krull for her work in supporting Estonian culture in the U.S., particularly with the Washington DC Estonian Society.  Congratulations, Mirjam! The Washington Estonian School also received recognition for furthering Estonian heritage and culture in the U.S.
  • EANC Board member Andres Simonson's viewpoint on Estonia and the Ukraine: read his article "Estonians Everywhere: Make Some Noise" for Estonian World in "East European Crisis."

EVENTS:  

  • The Joint Baltic American National Committee (JBANC), along with the American Latvian Association, held an informative seminar on “The Future of Baltic Nordic Security and Trade:  Sustaining and Strengthening U.S. Engagement in the Region” on December  4, 2015, to a full house at the Scandinavia House in New York City.  See "News & Events- Events." Pictured at the event, L/R : Eric Suuberg (EANC), Matti Prima (EANC), Karl Altau (JBANC), Ilmar Vanderer (EANC) and Aavo Reinfeldt (EANC) .
