“Eesti kultuurpärandi toetusfond” alustab tegevust/A new fund to support Estonian culture in the US

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Marylandi osariigis heategevusorganisatsioonina inkorporeeritud  “Eesti kultuurpärandi toetusfond” (Estonian Cultural Heritage Fund, Inc.), mille eesmärgiks on toetada eesti kultuuri püsimist USA-s, alustab tegevust.   “Toetusfond” pakub stipendiume kvalifitseeritud isikutele, kes taotlevad kõrgharidust, kas USA-s või mujal,  mis võimaldaks neil ennast rakendada eelmainitud eesmärgi huvides. Kõrghariduse taotlemine Eesti kõrgkoolides, ükskõik mis alal, rahuldaks seda nõuet.

The Estonian Cultural Heritage Fund, Inc., established to support the preservation of Estonian culture in the US, is being activated. The Fund will award scholarships to qualified US citizens who want to pursue a higher education in subjects related to Estonian culture, wherever such courses are being offered.  Attending an institution of higher learning in Estonia in any field shall satisfy this requirement.  The Fund will also award grants to qualified individuals who wish to research or document Estonian culture as it exists in the US.
