Lapsed suveks Eestisse lastelaagrisse

Monday, March 17th, 2008

Haridus- ja Teadusministeerium ja Sihtasutus Archimedes kuulutavad välja Rahvuskaaslaste programmi lastelaagrite konkursi. Rahvuskaaslaste programmi lastelaagrite toetuse väljaandmise eesmärk on anda väliseesti lastele võimalus viibida ühe suve jooksul Eestis lastelaagris. Stipendiumide väljaandmist finantseeritakse Haridus- ja Teadusministeeriumi eelarvest, programmi korraldajaks on Sihtasutus Archimedes. Stipendiumi võivad taotleda noored väliseestlased, kes pole vähemalt viimased 10 aastat Eestis alaliselt elanud. Igas laagris kehtib oma vanusepiirang, üldjuhul võivad kandideerida 8-14 aastased lapsed.

Let’s take intensive Estonian, Latvian or Lithuanian courses!

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Last year BALSSI/UCLA offered intensive Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian courses, allowing students to gain a year’s worth of language training in 8 weeks. BALSSI also arranged a full program of cultural activities for participating students, including field trips and a series of guest speakers.
This coming summer, we hope to build on our previous success by attracting more students and by expanding our curriculum to include a history course and possibly intermediate language courses.
