Upcoming concerts from Lembit Beecher

Lembit Beecher is an award-winning Estonian American composer and performer whom the Estonian American National Council has supported in the past.  I’m sure he would appreciate seeing fellow Estonian Americans in the audience at one of his upcoming concerts.

Dear Friends!
I have a busy couple of months coming up and wanted to let you know about some upcoming performances in the eastern half of the country!  It would be lovely to see you all soon!
with best wishes,
April 17th at 3pm Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings, with James VanValkenburg, viola, and Michael Haithcock, conductor, will perform my new piece for viola and winds, An Anthology of Joy. Jim and Michael premiered the work with the U of M Symphony Band on April 8th in Ann Arbor.
April 26th at 8pm the Philadelphia Chapter of ACF will premiere “Limestone” for cello and four percussionists in the gorgeous and strangely resonant Chinese Rotunda of the Penn Museum of Archeology and Anthropology. Composer Scott Ordway and I were in residence at the museum this spring and both wrote pieces inspired by this incredible space. More info and video preview: http://ancientechoes.acfphiladelphia.org
